We converted our 300-year old barn, which is just 1.5 metres from the main house, so we can now offer single-storey, self catering accommodation which sleeps 2+2.
It is suitable for the disabled with access for wheelchairs.
The Barn has a double bedroom with twin-beds, a bathroom with bath and shower and an open plan lounge and kitchen (with a double sofa-bed) which comprises a useful range of cupboards, cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer. All bed-linen and towels are provided.
The Barn looks onto 2 acres of lovely gardens with a Koi Carp pond and a dovecote. It has its own central heating system and is very cosy and comfortable.
You will have your own key and may come and go as you please. A cleaner will come in as often as you wish and there is a laundry and other amenities within walking distance.
The village shops include a Co-op of which stays open late into the evening, and only a short walk away is our very own bakery (plus delicatessan counter), fruit and veg shop, newsagent, chemist and church.
There is also a small local café 2 mins away for breakfasts and light meals if wanted.
The Barn has ample parking facilities within the grounds, behind electric gates.
There are 2 pubs within walking distance, each serving good home cooked food at sensible prices. The Plough Inn, immediately opposite, is 300 years old, heavily oak beamed and serves excellent food in a convivial atmosphere until 7.15pm.
Just 1.25 miles away is an excellent Chinese restaurant (White Post roundabout, A614). Between Farnsfield and Southwell, 4 miles away, there are 2 more pubs with restaurants.
In the Minster town of Southwell there are English, Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants to name but a few.
