Here at Grange Cottage we offer a self catering cottage near Sherwood Forest. The accommodation is over 300 years old but has been recently rennovated and sleeps 2+2 people. The self catering accommodation is next to our pretty little village cottage which is in the village of Farnsfield close to Sherwood Forest and Nottingham.
A lot of the people who come to stay with us here at our self catering cottage near Sherwood forest are people who are interested in history and want to visit some of the historical sites that Nottinghamshire has to offer, other people include fans of Robin Hood and his band of merry men and find this the ideal location to stay when visiting Nottingham and also people whi are here visiting or have a stall at the world famous Newark antiques fair.
The self catering cottage offers accommodation on a single floor and has large entrances to all rooms so if you have people with you who are disabled or have problems with stairs then you will have no worries about that. As we say the accommodation is self catering and can sleep four people comfortably. There is a double bedroom that has some wonderful views over our gardens, a bathroom to have a nice warm bath after a days rambling in some of the exquisite countryside that abounds in this glorious part of England.
If you are visiting the area for the antiques fair and have bought a lot of gifts then you will find that the self catering cottage near Sherwood forest has ample storage space so you have the extra safety of locking your goods up rather than having to leave them in your car overnight. Even if you have just bought some souveneirs in Nottingham that you want to tak home then you can easily store these as well.
Each guest has there own keys so if you come as two couples to stay then you can go off for sepearte walks and not have to wait for others to return before going in and trying out a hot power shower and relaxing in the open plan lounge before cooking some of the local produce that you have bought in the village shops in a kitchen that has everything that you need to enjoy your self catering accommodation.
